The Buffalo Sabres have announced roster cuts,⁢ sending forward Simon-Pier Brunet, defenseman David Bedkowski, and goaltender Samuel Meloche back too their respective‍ junior⁢ teams.

Simon-Pier Brunet ⁣Returns to QMJHL

Brunet will rejoin the Victoriaville Tigres‍ of the ⁢Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) ‍after previously ⁤playing for the Drummondville Voltigeurs. The Sabres selected Brunet in the fifth round, 123rd of the⁢ 2024 NHL Draft. ⁢Last season with the Voltigeurs, he recorded eight goals and⁤ 32 points in 60 games, posting a +10 plus/minus rating. Merrimack College ⁢is his anticipated destination for the ⁢2026-27 NCAA season, suggesting a patient development plan for the 19-year-old.

David Bedkowski Heads back ⁢to the OHL

Bedkowski will return to the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The 6’5″,220-pound defenseman,drafted 71st overall in ⁣the 2025 NHL Draft, is known for‍ his⁣ physical play and fighting ability.
