VietJet Air is reducing its international flight frequencies throughout April and May 2026. The reductions are part of a broader effort to manage operational capacity amid fuel supply constraints affecting aviation in Southeast Asia.

According to a report from Reuters on March 27, 2026, the Vietnamese low-cost carrier planned to cut 18% of its total flight capacity during April, a measure that includes reductions to both domestic and international services. This development coincides with reports from TravelMole regarding a broader oil crisis causing flight cancellations across the Southeast Asian region.
