Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LXI halftime performance wasn’t just a cultural moment; it translated into a significant surge in streaming numbers for the Puerto Rican superstar. According to data released by Apple Music and further detailed by Billboard and Nielsen, the performance on February 8th propelled Bad Bunny to the second-largest streaming day of his career.

On February 9th, the day following his Super Bowl appearance at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Bad Bunny’s catalog amassed 98 million on-demand streams in the United States. This represents a 27% increase compared to February 8th, when his music garnered 77.6 million streams. These figures exclude user-generated content and focus solely on official streams.

The February 9th total nearly matched his all-time streaming peak, achieved on May 6th, 2022, the release date of his record-breaking album Un Verano Sin Ti. On that day, his catalog reached 98.2 million on-demand streams. Un Verano Sin Ti notably held the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart for an impressive 13 weeks.

Beyond the near-record streaming day, Bad Bunny’s catalog saw substantial gains over a broader period. His five biggest streaming days include October 13th, 2023 (91 million streams, coinciding with the release of Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana), February 8th (77.6 million streams), May 7th, 2022 (69.1 million streams) and the aforementioned February 9th and May 6th, 2022.

The Super Bowl boost also extended to song downloads. February 9th saw Bad Bunny sell 16,000 song downloads, surpassing his previous record of 12,000 on October 12th, 2018.

Combining the streaming data from February 8th and February 9th, Bad Bunny’s catalog accumulated a total of 175.7 million streams, a 67% increase compared to the two days prior (105 million streams). Looking at a week-long period, from February 3rd to February 9th, Bad Bunny’s music garnered 401.8 million streams, a 105% jump from the previous week (January 27th to February 2nd, 195.4 million streams). This surge coincided with a sustained eight-day increase in his daily streaming activity, which began on February 2nd, following his win for Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

“DtMF,” the song that closed Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show, led his catalog in streams on February 9th, with 9.8 million listens. It was followed by “Baile inolvidable” (6.6 million), “Nueva Yol” (5.8 million), “Tití me preguntó” (5.2 million), and “EoO” (4.4 million). With the exception of “Tití me preguntó,” all of these tracks are from Bad Bunny’s 2025 album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos; “Tití me preguntó” originates from Un Verano Sin Ti. All five songs were featured in the Super Bowl performance.

The impact of the performance is also reflected in album chart performance. Debí Tirar Más Fotos jumped from No. 9 to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart dated February 14th, marking the biggest gain on the chart with a 138% increase to 85,000 album-equivalent units. “DtMF” also re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 10.

The Billboard charts dated February 21st, which will reflect consumption data from February 6th to February 12th, are expected to show further gains for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, as well as for Un Verano Sin Ti and other albums by Bad Bunny. His catalog is also poised to climb on the Hot 100 and the Hot Latin Songs charts.

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance wasn’t simply entertainment; it was a powerful demonstration of the artist’s cultural influence and its direct impact on music consumption. The numbers confirm what many suspected: Bad Bunny isn’t just a star, he’s a streaming phenomenon.
