The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has launched its official institutional campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aiming to unite the nation behind the national team as Brazil prepares for its first World Cup appearance since 2022. The campaign, titled “Bate no Peito” (Hit the Chest), was unveiled on April 20, 2026, and seeks to foster national pride and collective support ahead of the tournament, which will be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The campaign centers on a series of videos, social media content, and public events featuring Brazilian football legends, current players, and everyday citizens expressing their connection to the Seleção. CBF officials stated that the initiative is designed to transcend regional, social, and economic divides, emphasizing football as a unifying force in Brazilian society. The slogan “Bate no Peito” references the traditional gesture of fans placing a hand over their heart during the national anthem, symbolizing loyalty and emotional commitment to the team.

According to the CBF, the campaign will roll out across television, digital platforms, and stadiums in the months leading up to the World Cup, which begins in June 2026. It includes partnerships with major Brazilian brands and media outlets to amplify its reach. The confederation also announced plans to deploy mobile fan zones in cities across Brazil, offering live match screenings, interactive exhibits, and opportunities for fans to engage with the team’s history and values.

Ednaldo Rodrigues, President of the CBF, said in a statement accompanying the launch: “This is not just about supporting a team. The 2026 World Cup will be the first to feature 48 teams, expanding the tournament’s format and increasing Brazil’s chances of progressing deep into the competition. Brazil, a five-time World Cup champion, qualified automatically as a member of CONMEBOL and is placed in Pot 1 for the draw. The team is under the leadership of head coach Dorival Júnior, who took charge in early 2026 following a period of transitional management after the 2022 Qatar tournament.
