World number two Elena Rybakina beat Karolina Muchova in straight sets to clinch victory at the indoor clay-court tournament in Stuttgart on Sunday, 19 April 2026.
The Kazakhstani player secured her 13th WTA title with a 7-5, 6-1 win over the Czech opponent in one hour and 18 minutes. This victory marked her second title at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, making it the first repeat title of her career after previously winning 12 titles in 12 different tournaments.
Rybakina’s path to the title included saving two match points in a three-hour quarterfinal thriller against Leylah Fernandez before reaching the semifinals. She finished the week with three straight-sets victories, closing out the tournament with authority to improve her career final record to 13-12.
The win was Rybakina’s second of the 2026 season, following her Australian Open success in January. It also gave her six WTA 500 titles and five titles on clay, adding to her resume that includes two Grand Slam championships, two WTA 1000 trophies, and a WTA Finals crown.
During the trophy presentation, Rybakina thanked her sponsors and team, saying, “It really feels like home, and you just want to come back every year.” She also acknowledged Muchova’s run to the final, which followed her victory at the Qatar Open in February and left the Czech player just outside the world top 10.
As part of her prize for winning in Stuttgart, Rybakina received a Porsche sports car. Having previously won the title in 2024 without being able to drive the prize due to not having a licence at the time, she now has at least two Porsches in her collection.
