The exhibition, which runs from May 14 to May 28, 2026, includes a total of 28 drawings and photographs along with three short films.
The short films specifically demonstrate a range of audiovisual production capabilities, featuring works created using 2D, 3D, and stop motion animation techniques.
Olga Lidia Luévano Cabrales, the director of the degree program, explained that the university collects projects from various subjects each year, including drawing and representation techniques.
These academic projects are developed under a competency-based educational model designed to translate classroom learning into tangible creative outputs.
According to Luévano Cabrales, students employ a variety of drawing and painting techniques to demonstrate the development of their professional competencies, and those evidences become works of art
. This process allows the university to select specific pieces to present to the general public.
While the artworks are initially presented within the university grounds, the institution seeks external venues to ensure the students’ work reaches a wider audience.
This effort is supported by Francisco De Borja, who manages the collection and framing of the pieces to prepare them for public display.
Luévano Cabrales expressed gratitude to Dr. Felipe del Río for opening the doors of Casa Faya to the students. She described the venue as an ancient house
and noted that the exhibition looked great in that space
.
The 2026 exhibition cycle has seen an expansion in visibility for the UPGP students, as the collection also participated for the first time in the Museo Regional de La Laguna.
