Nick Pasqual, a 36-year-old actor known for appearing in the television series How I Met Your Mother, has been convicted of attempted murder following a violent attack on his former girlfriend in May 2024.
A jury in San Fernando, California, found Pasqual guilty of attempted murder for the stabbing of Allie Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist. In addition to the attempted murder charge, Pasqual was convicted of first-degree residential burglary with a person present and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancĂ©, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child’s parent.
Details of the Attack
The conviction stems from an incident on May 23, 2024, when Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s home in Sunland, California. According to court records and reporting, Pasqual stabbed Shehorn an estimated 20 times during the assault.

During the trial, Shehorn testified about the events of the night, appearing in court with scars on her arms and neck. She described how Pasqual forced his way into the residence.
“I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open,” Shehorn said. “I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there’s another lock on that door.”
Prior Arrest and Legal Actions
The May 23 attack occurred shortly after a previous legal encounter between the two. Pasqual had been arrested for domestic violence on May 18, 2024, but was subsequently released after posting a $50,000 bond.
Reports indicate that Shehorn had filed a restraining order against Pasqual days before he broke into her home. Jed Dornoff, a friend of Shehorn, stated at the time that Pasqual targeted her as soon as his bail was paid.
Pasqual currently awaits sentencing, with a hearing scheduled for Tuesday, June 2.
