Gaza’s civil defence agency reported that 10 people, including a toddler, were killed in separate Israeli strikes in the northern part of the enclave on April 14, 2026.
The fatalities occurred despite a ceasefire in the Gaza war that came into effect on October 10, 2025. Both Israel and Hamas have regularly accused each other of violating the agreement.
Details of the Strikes
Mahmoud Bassal, the spokesperson for the civil defence agency—which operates as a rescue service under Hamas authority—stated that four people were killed in a strike targeting a police vehicle in Gaza City. Among the dead was three-year-old Yahya al-Mallahi.

Gaza’s interior ministry confirmed that Israeli warplanes targeted the police vehicle in the city centre, resulting in several deaths and injuries. Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City confirmed it received the bodies of the deceased.
Bassal also reported that another person was killed by Israeli fire on April 14 in the northern Beit Lahia area.
Israeli Military Response
The Israeli army told AFP that it was looking into the details of the events. In a separate statement, the military said its troops identified an armed terrorist
in the area of the Yellow Line—the boundary behind which Israeli forces have withdrawn.
The Israeli military stated the individual approached their position and was killed in a strike, though it remained unclear if this incident was the same as the one reported in Beit Lahia.
