IUP Track & Field Heads to PSAC Outdoor Championships | Shippensburg 2024

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) will send a contingent of 30 track and field athletes to compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Shippensburg University.

The competition is scheduled to take place at Shippensburg’s Seth Grove Stadium, according to an announcement from IUP Athletics on April 30, 2026. The athletes will participate over the course of the three-day championship meet.

While specific athlete names and event schedules were not detailed in the initial announcement, IUP Athletics confirmed that student-athletes are slated to compete in events across all three days of the championships.

This participation follows a season of qualifying performances by IUP track and field athletes, setting the stage for competition against other PSAC institutions. The PSAC includes institutions such as Bloomsburg University, California University of PA, Clarion University, East Stroudsburg University, Edinboro University, Kutztown University, Lock Haven University, Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, Millersville University, Seton Hill University, Slippery Rock University, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and West Chester University, all of which are scheduled to participate.

The PSAC Outdoor Championships represent a key event in the collegiate track and field season, providing athletes with an opportunity to compete for conference titles and qualify for national championships. Shippensburg University previously secured the top spot in the women’s team standings at the 2024 championships with 186 points, followed by Slippery Rock with 159 points.
