JBL expanded its audio portfolio on May 12, 2026, with the launch of several new product lines including the PartyBox 330 and 130 speakers, a redesigned series of Live headphones, and the Live 4 series of earbuds. The releases emphasize a shift toward AI-integrated audio processing and a focus on physical redesigns for comfort and style.
Redesigned JBL Live Headphones
The updated Live headphone lineup includes the Live 780NC over-ear and Live 680NC on-ear models. Both versions feature 40mm dynamic drivers with a compound diaphragm and are designed for Hi-Res Audio. A primary technical update is the introduction of True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0, which utilizes upgraded processing power and real-time noise filtering to reduce environmental distractions.
The hardware has undergone a complete redesign, incorporating soft-touch materials, refined metallic accents, and smooth metal hinges. These models are available in neutral tones such as Black, White, and Sand, as well as a variety of bold colors including Orange, Blue, Purple, and Green.
Our JBL Live headphones strike a perfect balance between great sound and distinctive design. The design changes are clear to see but we have also taken care to improve audio performance with new Hi-Res Audio-enabled drivers, and refined, AI-trained noise cancellation algorithms to deliver more accurate, high-quality experience available at this price point.Carsten Olesen, President of Consumer Audio at HARMAN
Live 4 Series Earbuds and Smart Cases
Alongside the headphones, JBL introduced the Live 4 series of earbuds on May 12, 2026. This series consists of three distinct form factors to accommodate different user preferences:
- JBL Live Buds 4: Compact in-ear earbuds.
- JBL Live Beam 4: Stemmed in-ear earbuds.
- JBL Live Flex 4: Stemmed semi-open earbuds.
A central feature of the Live 4 series is the inclusion of touchscreen-equipped charging cases. JBL has updated the Smart Charging Case software to provide expanded customization options and controls, allowing users to adjust volume, equalization (EQ), and active noise cancellation (ANC) directly from the case.
AI-Enhanced PartyBox Speakers
JBL also launched the PartyBox 330 and PartyBox 130, which feature a new visual design and updated audio optimization tools. These speakers integrate AI Sound Boost and Smart EQ, technologies designed to optimize track playback regardless of the content being played.
The new PartyBox models are positioned as high-output audio solutions featuring updated light shows and bolder aesthetic designs to accompany their punchy sound profiles.
