Hyeseong Kim recorded his eighth multi-hit performance of the season on May 18, 2026, helping the Los Angeles Dodgers secure a decisive 10-1 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.
Playing at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, Kim, who started the game as the ninth batter and second baseman, contributed significantly to the Dodgers’ offensive surge. According to reporting from Yonhap News, Kim finished the game with two hits, two runs scored, and one run batted in (RBI) in three at-bats, while also recording one walk and one strikeout.
Kim’s Offensive Contributions
Kim’s impact was felt early in the contest. In the top of the second inning, with the Dodgers leading 1-0 and two outs and runners on first and third, Kim connected with a 130km/h inside curveball from Angels starter Grayson Rodriguez. He drove the ball into right field for an RBI single, extending the Dodgers’ lead.

Kim continued his momentum in the fourth inning. With two outs and runners on first and second, he hit an infield single toward first base. He subsequently scored on a left-field single by teammate Andy Parra.
In the ninth inning, appearing as the leadoff batter, Kim drew a walk. He eventually crossed home plate again following a double by Kyle Tucker. This performance brought Kim’s season batting average up to .274, based on 26 hits in 95 at-bats.
The victory marked the fifth consecutive win for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Lee Jung-hoo Maintains Hitting Streak
In separate Major League Baseball action, San Francisco Giants player Lee Jung-hoo extended his hitting streak to four consecutive games. Lee’s performance took place in a game against the Athletics at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento, California.

Entering the game as a substitute in the top of the seventh inning, Lee recorded one hit in two at-bats, scoring one run and driving in one run. His season batting average rose to .266, with 47 hits in 177 at-bats.
Lee’s RBI came in the top of the eighth inning during a bases-loaded situation with two outs, where he hit an infield single to second base. This achievement marked his 80th career RBI in the Major Leagues. Following his RBI, Lee scored a run after Harrison Bader hit a grand slam to right field.
