Jimmy Donaldson, known globally as MrBeast, is searching for his first global Chief Marketing Officer to complete the executive leadership team at Beast Industries. The recruitment effort is part of a broader strategy to transform the creator’s business operations into a comprehensive entertainment giant modeled after the structure of Disney.
The search for a CMO comes amid a significant hiring period for the company. Donaldson has been staffing various divisions, including studio operations, consumer products, and brand partnerships. Key appointments include Beau Avril, a former TikTok employee who now leads brand partnerships, and Corie Henson, a veteran of NBCUniversal who heads the studio division.
Beast Industries has expanded its reach far beyond the primary YouTube channel, where Donaldson has amassed over 477 million subscribers. The company now operates in several distinct commercial categories, including the snack brand Feastables and the financial services sector through the acquisition of the app Step. Donaldson has also developed plans to launch a mobile phone service.
Further diversification efforts include the development of advertising and marketing services tailored for other brands and independent content creators.
Executive Leadership and Corporate Structure
The incoming CMO will report directly to Jeff Housenbold, who assumed the role of CEO of Beast Industries in September 2025. Housenbold, who previously held positions at SoftBank and Shutterfly, is currently focused on the financial stabilization of the company as it prepares for a potential initial public offering (IPO).
The executive suite was further expanded in late March 2026 with the hiring of Gaude Lydia Paez as the first chief communications officer. Paez, a veteran of Fox Broadcasting, Hulu, and Riot Games, most recently served as the senior vice president of global communications and corporate affairs at Riot Games. She will work alongside CEO Jeff Housenbold and chief people officer Tia Silas to manage the company’s growth.
Housenbold and Silas are leading the search for the CMO and intend to fill the position within six months.
The CMO Mandate
The CMO will hold a broad remit focused on reducing the brand’s reliance on Jimmy Donaldson as its primary face. The role requires a business-oriented marketer capable of managing a diverse portfolio of products and media releases.

Responsibilities will range from driving ticket sales for theatrical releases—including Angry Birds Movie 3
, in which Donaldson provides a voice and which is scheduled for a December release—to managing the retail presence of toys and snacks. The role will also involve pitching and scaling the company’s checking accounts and mobile phone plans.
A spokesperson for MrBeast characterized the position as a CMO’s dream job
, stating it offers the opportunity to work with a seasoned executive team that has experience growing large consumer businesses and taking companies public.
Financial Growth and Strategic Partnerships
Beast Industries has recently secured significant capital to fuel its expansion. In January 2026, the company raised $200 million in new funding from Bitmine Immersion Technologies, an ethereum holding company. This investment follows a previous valuation of the company at approximately $5 billion.

The company has also established partnerships with major corporate entities to expand its marketing reach. A collaboration with Starbucks included the sponsorship of season 2 of Beast Games
, the creation of a limited-time Cannon Ball Drink
, and the provision of food and beverage services for the competition’s contestants. Donaldson partnered with Salesforce to appear in a Super Bowl commercial.
Recruitment Challenges
Despite the prestige of the role, recruiters note that candidates with traditional big-company experience may face a culture shock. The environment at Beast Industries is described as a nimble, creator-led culture that often operates with smaller budgets than established corporate giants.
Location may also be a factor for potential hires, as many employees work from the company’s home base in Greenville, North Carolina.
John McCarus, a recruiter specializing in the creator economy, noted that the business remains in an early stage of rapid growth. He indicated that the role will require an entrepreneurial approach and the use of unconventional tactics to attract customers who may not be viewers of the main MrBeast YouTube channel.
