The film, directed by Chris Stuckmann in his feature directorial debut, features Camille Sullivan in the lead role as a woman obsessively searching for her missing sister, who disappeared while investigating the abandoned town of Shelby Oaks.

Stuckmann co-wrote the screenplay with his wife, Samantha Elizabeth, and the project originated as a crowdfunded endeavor that became the most-funded horror film on Kickstarter by March 2022, raising $650,000.

Principal photography took place in Ohio, Stuckmann’s home state, during mid-2022, before the film premiered at the 28th Fantasia International Film Festival on July 20, 2024.
