UAB men’s basketball head coach Andy Kennedy announced the signing of JUCO big man Shah Hall from Shelton State Community College on April 16, 2026, marking the third addition to the Blazers’ 2026 recruiting class.

Hall, a 6-foot-10 forward from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, began his collegiate career at Northwest Mississippi Community College, appearing in 14 games before transferring to Shelton State. After being sidelined for most of the 2024–25 season due to a foot injury, he returned as a sophomore and made 28 starts, averaging 9.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game.

During his time at Shelton State, Hall recorded four double-doubles, highlighted by a 20-point, 14-rebound performance against Wallace State. His high school career was spent at Tuscaloosa Hillcrest under head coach Scott Suttles.

Kennedy expressed enthusiasm about the addition, stating, “Really excited to have Shah join our program. He comes from a junior college program under head coach Joe Eatmon that we have great respect for. Shah is 6-foot-10 with great length, giving us a real paint presence on both ends of the floor. Still relatively young in his basketball journey, we know his best basketball is ahead of him.”

Hall joins high school recruits Jakobi Sharp and Korie Corbett as part of UAB’s 2026 class. The signing comes as UAB Athletics prepares for the 2026–27 season, with men’s basketball season tickets having been made available in January 2026 ahead of Bartow Arena renovations. Fans will select specific ticket locations during the priority seating and parking process beginning in July 2026, following a June 30, 2026 deadline for priority seat selection.
