Sky Sports has entered into a multi-year broadcast partnership with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), establishing the pay-TV broadcaster as the exclusive UK and Ireland home of MVP’s new women’s boxing platform, MVPW. The agreement marks a significant expansion for Sky Sports’ boxing portfolio and solidifies MVPW’s presence in the European market through a landmark rights deal.
Under the terms of the partnership, Sky Sports will exclusively broadcast two all-female MVPW fight nights in the United Kingdom each year. The collaboration begins immediately with the inaugural global event of the platform, MVPW-01, scheduled to take place at London’s Olympia on April 5, 2026. This initial card will be available to viewers on Sky Sports and the NOW streaming service.
High-Profile Matchups Headline London Card
The April 5 event features a historic double main event showcasing some of the highest-ranked female fighters in the sport. The headline bout sees British champions Caroline Dubois and Terri Harper meet in a lightweight world title unification fight. Dubois enters the contest with a record of 12-0-1 with 5 knockouts, while Harper holds a record of 16-2-2 with 6 knockouts. The 10-round championship bout will be contested for the unified WBO and WBC lightweight world titles at 135lbs.

In the co-main event, MVP and England’s unified super bantamweight world champion Ellie Scotney will face Mexico’s WBA world champion Mayelli Flores. Scotney, who holds an 11-0 record, is fighting in a 10-round undisputed super bantamweight championship bout contested at 122 lbs. Flores brings a record of 13-1-1 with 4 knockouts to the matchup. A victory for Scotney would make her the youngest UK boxer in the four-belt era in history to become an undisputed world champion, male or female.
Beyond the UK-specific events, the deal ensures Sky Sports will also broadcast selected MVPW fight nights originating from the United States. The first of these US broadcasts is scheduled for April 17, 2026, airing in the early hours of April 18 for UK audiences. This card will originate from the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The Madison Square Garden event is headlined by unified junior lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner defending her titles against South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin. The bout is contested over 10 rounds with equal rules and three-minute rounds. The co-main event features Shadasia Green making a 10-round defence of her unified super middleweight world titles against former light heavyweight champion Lani Daniels.
Executives Highlight Growth of Women’s Sport
Jonathan Licht, Sky Sports’ Chief Officer UK & Ireland, emphasized the broadcaster’s commitment to women’s sport in a statement regarding the agreement. He noted that the deal underlines Sky Sports’ ambition to showcase the highest level of women’s boxing to both existing sports fans and new audiences.

As the UK and Ireland’s biggest investor in and broadcaster of women’s sport, we are proud to be part of the momentum women’s boxing is enjoying and adding the sport to our unrivalled line-up. 2026 is set to be a huge year yet again for women’s sport with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on home soil as well as the Solheim Cup, WSL and more, all live on Sky Sports.

MVP co-founders Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul described the partnership as a major milestone for MVPW and women’s boxing globally. They stated that the platform is committed to delivering meaningful opportunities for fighters while producing premium events that expand the global reach and commercial potential of the sport.
Bringing two premium all-female MVPW events to the UK and Ireland each year, starting with the historic MVPW-01 on Sunday, April 5 at London’s Olympia, is exactly what we envisioned when we launched this platform. We have the best female British boxers in the world and Sky Sports is the perfect home to showcase the elite talent and championship-level action that defines MVPW.

Sky Sports Shifts Strategy Amid Changing Landscape
This agreement follows a period of significant change in the boxing broadcasting landscape. Sky Sports has been a committed broadcaster of the sport since the 1990s, historically maintaining agreements with established promoters. This included a highly successful exclusive partnership with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. However, after Matchroom signed with DAZN in 2021, Sky sought to fill the void with partnerships with US-based Top Rank and the emerging Boxxer, though both deals were not extended.
Currently, major promoters such as Matchroom, Top Rank, Queensberry, and Golden Boy all hold deals with DAZN, leaving Sky with limited options to stay involved in the sport through traditional channels. In response, the UK’s largest pay-TV network has turned to disruptive promotional companies to maintain its presence in the boxing market.
The MVP deal follows Sky’s recent agreement with Zuffa Boxing, a new venture spearheaded by Dana White and Turki Alalshikh which aims to poach elite fighters from established promoters and operates independently of traditional sanctioning bodies. That agreement was finalized in March 2026. Prior to the MVPW partnership, Sky Sports’ notable women’s boxing coverage included broadcasting the undisputed world middleweight championship fight between Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall in 2022, which headlined the first televised all-women’s professional boxing card in Britain.
Sky Sports also exclusively broadcast the second all-female card in the UK in 2025, headlined by Natasha Jonas versus Lauren Price from London’s Royal Albert Hall. Industry analysts suggest that while there may be an element of necessity in Sky’s agreements with MVP and Zuffa given the prevalence of DAZN ties among other promotions, these ventures could prove to be strategic moves. If the new promoters deliver on their promises, the deals showcase Sky’s ability to remain a major destination for boxing in the UK despite the shifting rights environment.
