This Week in EIU Athletics: April 13-19, 2026

Eastern Illinois University Athletics has announced a comprehensive schedule of events for the week of April 13-19, 2026, featuring home matchups for baseball and softball, the annual EIU Spring Fling, and multiple championship pursuits across golf and beach volleyball.

Golf and Track and Field Schedule

The week begins on April 13, 2026, with both golf programs in competition. The Men’s Golf team is scheduled to compete at the Wright State Intercollegiate, while the Women’s Golf team participates in the Indiana State Spring Invite.

The Women’s Golf team will transition to championship play later in the week, competing in the OVC Championships in Dalton, Georgia. This competition begins on April 19, 2026, and continues through April 21, 2026.

The Outdoor Track and Field team is scheduled for three days of competition at the Indiana State Gibson Invite. Events are set for April 16, 2026, at 9 am, April 17, 2026, at 8:30 am, and April 18, 2026, at 10:30 am.

Baseball and Softball Matchups

EIU Baseball hosts Saint Xavier (Ill.) on April 15, 2026, at 3 pm at Frost Field at Coaches Stadium. The team then travels to Little Rock for a three-game series, with matchups scheduled for April 17, 2026, at 6 pm, April 18, 2026, at 4 pm, and April 19, 2026, at 2 pm.

The EIU Softball team travels to Saint Louis on April 15, 2026, for a 4 pm game. The team returns home to Williams Field to face Tennessee Tech, starting with a double-header on April 18, 2026, at 12 pm, followed by a final game against Tennessee Tech on April 19, 2026, at 12 pm.

Beach Volleyball, Soccer, and Campus Events

Beach Volleyball will compete in Morehead, Kentucky, on April 17, 2026, with a 9 am match against Chattanooga and a 1 pm match at Morehead State. Competition continues on April 18, 2026, with a 7 am match against Tennessee Tech and an 11 am match against UT Martin.

Men’s Soccer is scheduled for two games on April 18, 2026, at Lakeside Field. The team faces Northeastern CC at 11 am and Bryant & Stratton at 3 pm.

The EIU Spring Fling is scheduled to take place on April 18, 2026, at 5:30 pm at Groniger Arena.

• Baseball hosts Butler on April 21, 2026, at 5 pm at Frost Field at Coaches Stadium.
