Tribit Launches StormBox Micro 3 Portable Speaker

Tribit has launched the StormBox Micro 3, a portable Bluetooth speaker engineered for high portability and durability in outdoor environments. The device is designed for users engaging in activities such as cycling, hiking, camping, and golfing.

The speaker is priced at $64.99 USD. As of April 7, 2026, the product is shipping now in the US, while the EU Batch 2 is scheduled to ship in 10 to 15 days.

Audio Specifications and Hardware

The StormBox Micro 3 features a 48mm NdFeB (Neodymium) driver combined with dual passive radiators. The hardware is designed to deliver 13W of sound using XBass technology, which the company claims provides bass that is perceptible even when used outdoors at full speed.

Ruggedized Build and Mounting Options

To support outdoor use, the speaker is SGS-certified with an IP68 rating, making it both waterproof and dustproof. It has also undergone military-grade drop testing and is certified to withstand falls from 1.22 meters.

The device includes two primary mounting systems for hands-free use. A magnetic mount is provided for everyday applications, while a durable silicone adjustable strap allows the speaker to be locked onto handlebars, backpacks, tents, or lockers during more intense activities.

Battery, Connectivity, and Power

The speaker utilizes Bluetooth 6.0 to maintain a wireless connection up to 100 feet. This version of Bluetooth is intended to provide a stable link without dropouts or lag for users who are moving.
