Universal Hotel Liquidators (UHL), a major supplier of five-star hotel furniture and liquidation inventory in the United States, is relocating its operations to the Meriden Mall in Connecticut. The company is moving from its long-term location in West Haven to a larger showroom space.
The company plans to occupy the space previously held by Dick’s Sporting Goods, which vacated the premises in April 2024. UHL expects to open the new location by May 1, 2026, though earlier company announcements indicated a window of late April or early May.
Strategic Expansion and Accessibility
The transition to the Meriden Mall is intended to provide significantly more room for warehouse operations, customer service, and product displays. According to company leadership, the central location in Meriden improves accessibility for customers throughout Connecticut and places the business closer to the Hartford market.

West Haven Warehouse Liquidation
To facilitate the relocation, Universal Hotel Liquidators is hosting a large-scale garage sale at its West Haven warehouse located at 855 Boston Post Road. Because thousands of items cannot be transported to the new Meriden showroom, the company is offering merchandise at discounts of up to 75% off.

Meriden Mall Tenant Trends
The arrival of Universal Hotel Liquidators comes during a period of shifting tenancy at the Meriden Mall. While the mall has seen the departure of tenants such as TJ Maxx, it has added other businesses in 2026.
Other recent additions to the mall include Adventure Palace, a virtual reality gaming and amusement center for children, and Santos Kitchen, a new addition to the food court.
The new UHL showroom will operate under the following hours:
- Monday through Saturday: 11 a.m. To 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 12 p.m. To 6 p.m.
