United Overseas Bank (UOB) has extended its welcome offer for the UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card, providing new-to-card customers with up to 60,000 air miles upon meeting specific spending and payment criteria.
To qualify for the 60,000 air miles bonus, new customers must spend a total of S$4,000 within 30 days from the card approval date and make the full payment of the card membership fee. For existing-to-card customers, the welcome offer is reduced to 40,000 air miles under the same conditions.
Card Requirements and Fees
The UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card is positioned as a high-income product, requiring a minimum annual income of S$120,000 for applicants. The card carries a non-waivable annual membership fee of S$654, which includes 9% GST.
According to the bank, the additional UNI$ associated with the welcome offer are awarded two months after the annual membership fee has been posted to the account.
Strategic Shift in Rewards
The current 60,000-mile offer represents a reduction from a previous, more generous sign-up bonus of 80,000 miles. Despite this decrease in the total bonus, UOB has chosen to extend the 60,000-mile promotion to continue attracting high-net-worth consumers.
The extension occurs amid a broader trend of competitive reward offerings in the Singaporean market. Other institutions, including Standard Chartered and SCB, have also been enhancing or extending sign-up bonuses to capture market share in the travel rewards segment.
Benefit Adjustments
While the welcome offer remains active, some of the card’s ongoing perks are facing changes. Market reports indicate that unlimited DragonPass lounge visits, a previous highlight of the card’s value proposition, are expected to be removed starting in June 2026.
The UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card continues to offer a combination of travel rewards and prestige features, though the recent reduction in both the sign-up bonus and lounge access reflects a recalibration of the card’s benefit structure relative to its annual fee.
