Originally from Indiana, Makalusky began her collegiate career at Butler University before transferring to West Virginia. In the 2025-26 season with the Mountaineers, she averaged 4.7 points, 2 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game, shooting 43% from the field.
The 6’2” forward appeared in 38 games last season, starting in one, and averaged 13.9 minutes played per game. University of Tennessee officials highlighted Makalusky’s shooting ability as a valuable asset to the Lady Vols lineup.
