Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO has expanded its lineup with the POCO X8 Pro Max, a device designed to provide flagship-level performance and high battery endurance at a mid-range price point. Launched in March 2026, the device marks the first time the company has introduced a Pro Max designation to its series, positioning the phone as a value-oriented alternative to premium flagships.

The POCO X8 Pro Max is also marketed as the Redmi Turbo 5 Max in certain regions to standardize naming conventions across different markets.

Battery and Charging Specifications

A primary feature of the POCO X8 Pro Max is its battery capacity. Multiple reports indicate the device houses an 8,500mAh battery, although some regional reviews cite a 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. This capacity is paired with 100W fast wired charging to reduce downtime for heavy users.

The visual design borrows elements from the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, featuring a slightly flushed camera bump. The camera area also includes racetrack-inspired decorations integrated with a dynamic RGB light.

To maintain its accessible price point, POCO has made specific hardware compromises. The device lacks wireless charging and does not include a telephoto lens in its camera system.

In India, the 12GB/256GB variant was launched in March 2026 at a price of ₹42,999.
