Interpol has officially announced an extensive 2026 North American tour, marking one of the most significant runs of headlining dates in the band’s history. According to reporting from Hit Channel, the tour will feature some of the largest stages the New York post-punk group has ever played.
The tour is scheduled to begin on July 31 in Denver. From there, the itinerary will lead the band through Wyoming and Idaho before the tour moves toward major coastal hubs.
Canadian Dates and Major Venues
The 2026 itinerary includes several high-profile stops in Canada. The band is slated to perform at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, where they will appear in a supporting role for sombr.

Following the West Coast leg, Interpol will move into headlining slots in early October. These dates include performances at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto and L’Olympia in Montreal.
Tour Support and Curation
The tour features a curated selection of opening acts. DIIV, described by Hit Channel as the masters of shoegaze melancholy
, is scheduled to join Interpol for the majority of the fall dates.
Other artists providing support on select dates include:
- Youth Lagoon
- Loathe
- Julie
- French Police
The selection of guests is intended to complement the band’s textured guitar work, pairing Interpol with acts ranging from the heavy-hitting
sound of Loathe to the dreamy soundscapes
of Youth Lagoon.
Career Context and Recent Activity
This tour comes nearly four years after the release of the band’s album, The Other Side of Make-Believe. That project was noted for introducing a more atmospheric and nuanced approach to the signature sound associated with Paul Banks and his bandmates.
Despite the gap since their last full-length album, Interpol has maintained its presence in the live circuit. In 2024, the group visited Jack White’s Third Man Records to record a live LP, an effort aimed at capturing the raw energy of their stage performances.
The upcoming 2026 run is being framed as a victory lap for the ensemble, which remains a central influence in the development of noir-rock and the modern indie-sleaze aesthetic.
