Zelensky Slams Orban’s ⁣Mediation Attempts, Says Hungary Lacks Leverage Over Russia

ukrainian⁣ President Volodymyr Zelensky sharply criticized Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban‘s attempts ‌to⁤ act as a mediator in⁢ the war with Russia, arguing that Hungary lacks the influence ⁣to ⁢pressure the⁢ Kremlin.

Speaking at the All-ukrainian Congress of local and regional Authorities on Tuesday, Zelensky emphasized Ukraine’s strength and⁢ resilience⁢ in⁢ the face of‌ Russian aggression.

“Ukraine is a strong country. We’ve shown that on⁢ the battlefield throughout Putin’s entire war,” Zelensky stated. “Does ⁢anyone else in Europe have ‍that experience? No. Does Orban have such an army? No. How will he pressure Putin? With a joke, a smile? Let him keep that to himself.”

Zelensky stressed the importance of direct relations between Ukraine and the United States, without intermediaries.

“We need direct relationships with the United States, without any⁣ middlemen,” he added.

President Volodymyr Zelensky declared he would prevent Hungarian ‍Prime Minister viktor ⁤Orban from entering Ukraine, citing Orban’s close ties ⁤to Russian President ⁤Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky emphasized ‍Ukraine’s resilience and battlefield prowess,‌ arguing for direct dialog⁢ with the United states without‍ intermediaries.
