₹61 Lakh in Expired Ayurvedic Drugs Seized in Andhra Pradesh Raids
Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) officials, along with the AYUSH department, conducted raids on Ayurvedic medical shops in Andhra Pradesh. They seized medicines worth ₹61 lakh.
Following the orders of Director General (Vigilance and Enforcement) Harish Kumar Gupta, 25 teams targeted stores across 26 districts. The teams confiscated 2,599 types of expired drugs and Ayurvedic medicines sold without the required licenses.
Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta emphasized that strict action will be taken against vendors selling expired medications. He stated that the raids will continue to ensure compliance and safety in the sale of Ayurvedic products.
This operation highlights the commitment to public health and safety in the region.
