Pusan National University Library is conducting a series of specialized training sessions focused on the utilization of global academic databases and research performance analysis tools.

The training program is designed to enhance the technical capabilities of researchers and students in navigating citation indices and international scholarly resources to improve research productivity.

Research Performance and Citation Analysis

The first segment of the training is scheduled from 14:00 to 16:00. This session focuses specifically on citation indices and research performance analysis databases.

The curriculum for this session includes instruction on the following tools:

• Scopus
• Scopus AI
• SciVal

These platforms are used to track citation metrics and analyze the impact and performance of academic research outputs.

Global Database Search Training

Following the analysis session, the library will hold a second training session from 16:00 to 17:00. This session is dedicated to overseas academic database searching.

The instruction will center on the use of EBSCOhost, a tool used for searching international scholarly literature. This particular session is designated for all academic fields, ensuring broad accessibility across different disciplines within the institution.

By providing structured training on these specific data tools, the library is facilitating the adoption of data-driven methodologies to measure and enhance institutional research output.
