[국제]Harris and Trump Accuse Each Other of ‘False Promises’… Even the Chopsticks Have Different Predictions

With the US presidential election about two months away, the race is expected to be a close one, with even the predictions of so-called presidential pundits conflicting.

The two candidates, Harris and Trump, are locked in a war of words, accusing each other of making false promises to win votes.

Former President Trump, after saying Florida’s ban on abortion after six weeks of pregnancy was excessive, announced a pledge to have the government cover all costs of in vitro fertilization.

[도널드 트럼프 / 전 미국 대통령 : 여성의 임신을 위한 체외인공수정과 관련된 모든 비용을 전부 부담하겠습니다.]

The Harris campaign criticized Trump for dazzling female voters with blatant false promises about abolishing abortion rights.

Trump stressed that Vance, who voted against protecting IVF protections, is Trump’s running mate and that Trump has no interest in women’s reproductive rights.

Meanwhile, Harris expressed support for fracking, a shale gas technology she previously opposed for environmental reasons, in an interview with CNN.

Trump has previously criticized Harris by posting a video on social media in which she expressed her opposition to fracking.

They are trying to swindle voters in Pennsylvania, the most important swing state and a hotbed of shale gas exploration.

Meanwhile, predictions among pundits about who will win the presidential election, which is less than two months away, are mixed.

Renowned statistician Nate Silver estimates that while Harris is about 3 percentage points ahead in the national vote, Trump has a 5 percentage point advantage in securing the electoral college votes needed to win.

Meanwhile, FiveThirtyEight, an election analysis site run by ABC News, ran a thousand simulations and found that Harris won 587 times, compared to Trump’s 409 times.
