[사회]Police “36-week abortion doctor, clear intention to commit murder…considering re-application for warrant”
Regarding the so-called ’36 week abortion’ suspicion, the police announced that they would review whether to reapply for an arrest warrant, saying that the intentionality of the murder was clear.
Woo Jong-soo, head of the National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency, explained at a regular press conference held today (28th) that murder charges can be applied because the fetus was delivered normally and later died due to neglect.
In the police investigation so far, it has been reported that the hospital director and other medical staff have denied the crime, saying that the fetus was already stillborn.
He added that when looking at the objective circumstantial evidence, the intention to kill the fetus was recognized.
In addition, the arrest warrant for the hospital director and surgeon was dismissed once, but it was dismissed for reasons other than the fact that there was room for dispute over the facts of the crime, and they announced that they would review whether to apply again.
