The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) reported significant weather changes expected between today and tomorrow.

  1. Precipitation:

    • Rain or snow will occur in most areas.
    • Heavy snowfall is expected in central regions tomorrow and the day after.
  2. Winds:

    • Strong winds will affect most of the country until tomorrow.
    • Coastal areas in Gyangsang will experience gusty winds until the day after tomorrow.
  3. Temperature:

    • Low temperatures are expected, with strong winds making it feel even colder.
    • Today’s temperatures will range from -3 to 15 degrees Celsius.
    • Morning lows tomorrow will drop to -4 to 6 degrees.
  4. Rain Forecast for November 26:

    • Metropolitan Area: 5-30mm
    • Gangwon: 10-40mm
    • Chungcheng: 5-30mm
    • Jeolla Region: 5-20mm
    • Gyeongsang: 20-60mm
    • Jeju Island: 5-30mm
    • Rain warnings are in effect for Gyeongsangnam-do’s south coast with heavy rain reported.
  5. Snow Accumulation for November 27-28:

    • Metropolitan Area: 3-8cm, up to 10cm in East Gyeonggi.
    • Gangwon: 5-15cm, more than 20cm in some areas.
    • Chungcheong: 1-10cm.
    • Jeolla: 1-10cm.
    • Gyeongsang: 1-10cm.
    • Jeju Island: 5-15cm of snow expected.
  6. Warnings:

    • Be cautious of flooding in low-lying areas due to heavy rainfall and ice formation.
    • Avoid riverside trails due to rising water.
    • Heavy snowfall may disrupt traffic; plan journeys accordingly.
    • Strong winds could cause injury from falling objects; be alert outdoors.
  7. Marine Conditions:

    • Gale warnings are active across all ocean areas.
    • Waves will reach heights of 1.0-4.0 meters, so exercise caution when sailing or fishing.
  8. Future Weather:
    • Cloudy skies will continue through tomorrow.
    • Expect temperature drops in the coming days, with daytime highs remaining below 0 degrees in many areas.
