The Ministry of Education in Ecuador has announced a competition to fill 1,000 teaching positions specializing in Technical and English Baccalaureate programs. The submission process is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 6, and is open to professionals previously deemed qualified by the ministry.

To be considered for these positions, applicants must meet specific criteria:
- Be an Ecuadorian citizen over 18 years of age, or a foreign national meeting the requirements outlined in the Organic Law of the Public Service (LOSEP) and the Organic law of Intercultural Education (LOEI).
- Possess a third or fourth-level degree in education or a related field relevant to the advertised specialties. This degree must be duly registered and recognized by the governing body of the Higher Education System.
- Be registered as a suitable candidate, formerly known as “eligible,” which requires successful completion of personality, reasoning, and specific knowledge evaluations administered by the Ministry of Education.
- Not be subject to any general or special prohibitions established by current legislation that would prevent them from holding public office or performing teaching duties.
