Local Officials Raise Safety Questions
There’s been three train derailments this year in Blair County,
David Lynch told WTAJ as reported by Yahoo.com. So I can say it’s kinda often for this year, but, you know, it’s the rail service, so you just never know.
Cleanup Crews Clear The Line
Rail workers and municipal authorities spent Friday afternoon assessing the structural damage and working to get the stranded freight cars back on track. Norfolk Southern advised the public to steer clear of the 31st Street corridor while cleanup operations remained underway. Officials have not yet released a definitive timeline for fully restoring normal freight traffic along the affected segment of the Pittsburgh line.
