11-Year-Old Boy Arrested for Threatening Mass Shooting in Florida

An 11-year-old boy in Florida, USA, was arrested by police for boasting at school about having a large number of weapons and threatening to massacre in two schools. The boy, Carlo “Kingston” Dorelli, was taken into custody and charged with a felony for making written threats of mass shooting.

According to Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood, Dorelli’s arrest was made after he posted a video on Facebook, showcasing the boy being handcuffed. Chitwood also released a photo of Dorelli and a photo of a desk covered with replica assault rifles, samurai swords, and darts.

Sheriff Chitwood warned parents at a press conference, stating, “If you don’t want to raise your children, we will help you. When we arrest a child, the photo of the child will be released. We will catch him.” This statement comes as Florida received 54 reports of threats of school shootings in one night alone.

Chitwood expressed his frustration, saying, “Those little bastards who think they are funny and want to be famous on social media, you are not that smart, you will be arrested.” This surge in gun threats is not limited to Florida, as police in Foley, Alabama, arrested two teenagers for threatening to attack a school on social media.

Similar incidents have been reported in Texas, where two 12-year-old boys were arrested for making gun threats. Texas authorities have arrested at least 10 teenagers suspected of making gun and violent threats within a school year.

A recent school shooting occurred at a middle school in Georgia, resulting in the loss of four lives. The 14-year-old gunman, Colt Gray, was charged with four counts of murder and is expected to be tried as an adult.
