A disturbing incident in Florida has raised concerns about school safety and the consequences of making threats. An 11-year-old boy, Carlo “Kingston” Dorelli, was arrested and charged with a felony for making written threats of a mass shooting.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Dorelli had bragged about having a “kill list” and showed off an arsenal of weapons to his classmates. The police found a number of air guns and knives in his room, which led to his arrest.

Sheriff Mike Chitwood released a video of Dorelli being handcuffed and warned parents that if they don’t take responsibility for their children’s actions, the authorities will. Chitwood also released photos of the weapons found in Dorelli’s room, including replica assault rifles, samurai swords, and darts.

The incident highlights the growing concern about school safety and the need for parents and authorities to take threats seriously. According to statistics, Florida received 54 reports of threats of school shootings in one night alone.
Other states have also reported similar incidents. In Alabama, two teenagers were arrested for threatening to attack a school on social media, while in Texas, two 12-year-old boys were arrested for making gun threats. A school shooting in Georgia on the 4th resulted in the death of four people, and the 14-year-old gunman is expected to be tried as an adult.
