Pesaro Student Assault: Teen Beating leads to Multiple Complaints
PESARO, italy (AP) — A 14-year-old student in Pesaro was allegedly attacked over a dispute involving a girl, resulting in three students facing potential charges of assault. the incident,which occurred in mid-March,has led to an investigation and multiple complaints.
Details of the Attack
According to reports, the 14-year-old, a student at the Bramante Genga institute, was allegedly lured outside the school campus on Via Nanterre by a classmate. two 16-year-old students from the Santa Marta hotel institute were reportedly waiting. While the victim was attacked, authorities say that other students filmed the incident. Investigators have obtained at least two videos of the beating.
The Setup
Investigators believe the 14-year-old classmate was promised a reward for enticing the victim outside. The alleged incentive was “a lunch at McDonald’s” in exchange for bringing the student out with an excuse, according to sources familiar with the investigation.
The victim, unaware of the plan, reportedly left class during recovery hours and was ambushed behind the school near the gymnasium.
Dispute Over Instagram
The confrontation reportedly began with accusations regarding a 14-year-old girl. One of the 16-year-old attackers allegedly confronted the victim about following the girl on Instagram, shouting, “Do you still try with her?” before the physical altercation began.
Witnesses stated the attackers had previously warned the victim. The situation escalated quickly, with the 14-year-old being knocked to the ground and repeatedly struck. reports indicate the classmate who lured the victim also participated in the beating.
Bystanders and Aftermath
Despite the victim’s cries, attempts by a passing female student to intervene were unsuccessful. The assault continued until the two 16-year-olds stopped and left, with one allegedly shouting, “Remember she is mine, its not yours,” as they departed.
The victim’s parents took him to San Salvatore hospital after he returned home with visible injuries. Doctors diagnosed him with a 15-day prognosis after a CT scan revealed head trauma. The parents then filed a police report, prompting an investigation.
Legal Proceedings
Police have interviewed students and witnesses and have obtained video evidence of the attack. The prosecutor for minors in Ancona is now handling the case. The students under investigation have reportedly retained legal counsel.
