Softball Season to Commence May 18
The Coors Light softball league is gearing up for its season opener on May 18, with 16 teams ready to take the field at the rampart stadium.
Mixed, Male, and Female Divisions
Sponsored by East Coors Light/Lac convenience store, the league features three divisions.A mixed division comprises eight teams, while the male and female divisions each have four teams. The female division marks its return this year after a brief hiatus.
Sylvain Caron, president of the league, noted the sustained interest in the female division. “For the past 18 months, there has been increased demand to reinstate this division,” Caron said. “With four solid teams, we are confident in its sustainability.”

caron reflected on the league’s growth since its inception in 2003. “If you had asked me 20 years ago about reaching 40 teams,I would have said it was unachievable,” Caron said. “We are incredibly proud of this achievement, growing from four teams to this number, with recognized expertise and even the launch of a new sport, Wiffle Ball.”
