The sports, leisure and artistic activities showed the various processes developed with the children.
Talking about the Comfacauca Combined Family Care Center (CAIF) talks about social inclusion, educational programs and training for children from the most vulnerable strata, who enjoy excellent and pleasant facilities. This center can be considered the club commune nine of the city.
Precisely, Comfacauca Caif commemorated its seventeenth anniversary of work, with an event held at its headquarters, where more than 300 children and their families took an active part. The children came to the fore with sporting, cultural, recreational and artistic exhibitions, through which the progress and development of the various training processes carried out at the Center were shown.
The dances stood out, with Colombian rhythms, among them the famous “La Pollera colorada”, “El Mapalé” and “Prende la vela”, performed by Kindergarten grade children, which received great praise.
The now famous CAIF shawm ensemble delighted the attendees with joints, such as Mi Cafetal and the bambuco “Los Cucaracheros.” The little skaters showed their skills in this sport, which Comfacauca promotes from a very early age.
During the celebration, a number of recreational games stations were set up, including bowling, focus, board games and face painting;
Students Katherine Muñoz and Lina María Ruiz, from grades 9 and 10, from the Educational Institutes of Calicanto and INEM, respectively, joined on the day. These young women participate in the project Entrepreneurs of Culture and Peace (Emculpaz), the Complementary School Day program (JEC), led by the psychologist, Adriana Sanjuán. This celebration was also an exhibition of jewelry and dessert initiatives, which received the support of the community that attended.
The head of Comfacauca Complementary Services, Sonia Betancourt, highlighted the importance of the social work carried out by the CAIF. In this regard, he said that every process aims at the well-being and transformation of the lives of the children and adolescents who attend this Center on a daily basis. He also drew attention to the important role that families and educators play in this collective effort.
For her part, Yamilet Bolaños, CAIF coordinator, thanked those who are part of this family called CAIF. “Thank you for your dedication and commitment over these years. This space has been key to the comprehensive development of hundreds of boys and girls, as well as their families. “We remain committed to the mission of forming a generation with values, love and hope.”
The CAIF Comfacauca program is consolidated as a fundamental pillar in building a social fabric in the department, providing comprehensive care to early childhood and their families. Through educational, recreational and cultural processes, this program not only contributes to the comprehensive development of children, it also strengthens family and community ties. Celebrating these 17 years reinforces Comfacauca’s commitment to creating training spaces that positively impact the lives of its beneficiaries, promoting well-being and personal growth.
