20 Events Announced for 2027 Türkiye UCI Road Cycling Calendar

Türkiye has announced a 2027 road cycling calendar featuring 20 events spanning from Antalya to Istanbul, providing international riders with a seven-month racing program. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) released the schedule, which covers multiple regions including Mersin, Konya, Gaziantep, Erzurum, and the Black Sea coast.
The program offers a mix of one-day Grand Prix events and multi-stage races running from winter through the end of summer. Turkish Cycling Federation President Emin Muftuoglu stated that the 20-event schedule aims to broaden the sport’s reach across different regions of the country while attracting international athletes. In 2027, we aim to bring cycling to wider audiences across Türkiye through international races to be held in different regions of our country,
Muftuoglu said, adding that the events will also grant Turkish riders international experience.
Early Season Racing Opens in Antalya
The season begins on Feb. 13 with the Grand Prix Antalya, kicking off an intensive early-year program centered in Antalya and Alanya. Grand Prix Alaiye takes place in Alanya on Feb. 20, followed by Grand Prix Alanya on Feb. 21. The peloton returns to Antalya for Grand Prix Pedalia on Feb. 27 and the Tour of Antalya from March 4 to March 7. Additional spring fixtures include another running of the Grand Prix Antalya on March 27 and the Grand Prix Apollon Temple on April 3. The schedule then shifts to Mersin for the Tour of Mersin, scheduled for April 8 to April 11.
Presidential Cycling Tour Takes Center Stage in Spring
The Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, listed as a UCI 2.Pro category event, runs from April 25 to May 2. As one of the country’s key international competitions, it brings professional cyclists from different countries to race across Turkish terrain. Following the tour, the calendar continues with Grand Prix Kirikkale on May 29, Grand Prix Anadolu in Konya on May 30, and the Tour of Anatolia from June 3 to June 6. Gaziantep will subsequently host the Türkiye Road Championships from June 24 to June 27.
Summer Events Shift to Erzurum and the Black Sea
July brings the racing action to Erzurum, starting with Grand Prix Palandoken on July 3 and Grand Prix Ejder 3200 on July 4, before the Tour of Erzurum runs from July 8 to July 11. August features three consecutive stage races across different regions: the Tour of Kahramanmaras from Aug. 12 to Aug. 15, the Tour of Ordu from Aug. 19 to Aug. 22, and the Tour of Samsun from Aug. 26 to Aug. 29.
Tour of Istanbul Closes the Seven-Month Season
The 2027 international road cycling calendar concludes on the Bosphorus with the Tour of Istanbul. Scheduled as a UCI 2.1 race from Sept. 2 to Sept. 5, the event brings down the curtain on a roughly seven-month racing program that began in Antalya in February.
