Severance Hospital possesses world-class medical technology, including high-level transplant surgery and robotic surgery. It also presents a new paradigm for creating a hospital culture not only for treatment but also for the convenience of visitors.

Severance Hospital was ranked first in the general hospital category in the 2024 Korea Heist Brand surveyed and evaluated by Brand Stock.

Severance Hospital possesses world-class medical technology, including high-level transplant surgery and robotic surgery. By the end of 2023, the total number of robotic surgeries performed has exceeded 40,000. This is not only the first in Korea but also the world’s first for a single medical institution. It is the first baryon treatment in Korea to start treating prostate cancer patients, and is leading the cancer treatment trend by sequentially applying it to pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, and liver cancer.

Severance Hospital recently reduced inconvenience to visitors by using way-finding signage. Signage and notices were created in places frequented by visitors, such as the CT examination room, to increase convenience. Frequently visited destinations were set based on statistics received from VOC. Patients, guardians, and visitors with babies can easily use the facilities by posting large signage that three-dimensionally expresses the locations of special amenities such as adult diaper changing tables, family assistance restrooms, stoma and urinary stoma restrooms, and nursing rooms.

A convenience improvement program for hospitalized patients is also in operation. The most satisfying one is the ‘Sleep Project’ that started in March 2021. Taping work within the ward was separated into another space away from the ward, and noise generation was minimized by replacing the toilet lid with a noise-free toilet lid. In addition, we provide sleeping packages (earplugs, sleep masks, and guidance on hospitalization) to help patients sleep better, helping hospitalized patients recover quickly.
