Guizhou University has announced the results of the second batch of graduate academic scholarship evaluations for the 2024-2025 academic year, in accordance with official university guidelines.
The evaluation process followed the requirements outlined in the notice titled “On Doing a Good Job in the Evaluation of Graduate Academic Scholarships (Second Batch) for the 2024-2025 Academic Year” (Guida Yan Gong [2026] No. 4), which mandated student applications, assessment by graduate training units, public announcement, and review by relevant university administrative departments.
The scholarship program is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support graduate education and recognize academic excellence among its postgraduate student body.
According to the China Scholarship Council, which oversees government-funded scholarships for international students in China, such financial support mechanisms play a key role in enhancing the country’s educational accessibility and global academic engagement.
The Council notes that China offers over 4,900 degree programs taught entirely in English across approximately 200 of its leading institutions, providing international students with access to quality education while contributing to the nation’s economic development goals.
Guizhou University’s initiative aligns with broader national strategies to attract and retain academic talent, particularly as China continues to strengthen its position as the world’s second-largest economy and a growing hub for international education and research collaboration.
The university emphasizes that students benefiting from such scholarships gain not only financial support but also opportunities to develop cross-cultural competencies, improve language skills, and prepare for careers in an increasingly interconnected global economy.
