2024 Hollywood Music in Media Awards: Hans Zimmer and Emilia Pérez Shine with Three Wins Each
Hans Zimmer and Emilia Pérez were the top winners at the 2024 Hollywood Music in Media Awards. They both took home three awards each. The event celebrated memorable music in film and TV. The ceremony took place at The Avalon in Hollywood.
Hans Zimmer won for three different projects:
- Score – Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Dune: Part Two
- Score – Documentary Series for Planet Earth III
- Song – TV Show Limited Series for “Love Will Survive” from The Tattooist of Auschwitz
Zoe Saldaña won the award for Song – Onscreen Performance (Film) for “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez. The film also won Score – Feature Film, awarded to composers Clément Ducol and Camille, and Music Themed Film.
Other noteworthy winners included:
- Diane Warren for “The Journey” from The Six Triple Eight
- Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Bernie Taupin, and Andrew Watt for “Never Too Late” from Elton John: Never Too Late
- Miley Cyrus, Lykke Li, and Andrew Wyatt for “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl
The award for Song – Animated Film went to the team behind “Kiss the Sky” from The Wild Robot. composer Kris Bowers won for Score – Animated Film.
Other winners included:
- Deadpool & Wolverine for Soundtrack Album
- Lainey Wilson for Music Video with “Out of Oklahoma”
