before the April 22 deadline. A change in the NCAA transfer window start date led to an initial surge, with
approximately 1,000 players in the portal on the first day alone. Here’s a look at some of the top college
basketball transfers and their potential impact on their new teams.
PJ Haggerty, a sophomore point guard, is transferring from Memphis to Kansas State. After withdrawing from
the NBA draft, Haggerty’s move to Kansas State is expected to provide a significant boost.He was named AAC
Player of the Year after averaging 21.7 points last season.
Bennett Stirtz, a junior point guard, is transferring from Drake to Iowa. Stirtz, who led Drake to the
second round of the NCAA tournament, will reunite with coach Ben McCollum at Iowa. He averaged 19.2 points and
