Lee Min-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop Headline Upcoming Korean Movies
A wave of new Korean movies is set to premiere, showcasing top talent like Lee Min-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop, and Kang Ha-neul. The diverse lineup spans genres from romance and sci-fi to action, fantasy, and disaster. Among the highly anticipated titles are Wall to Wall, Mantis, The Prophet: Omniscient Reader, and The Great Flood, along with animated features Lost in starlight and KPop Demon Hunters.

Animated Adventures and Thrilling Mysteries
Lost in Starlight, set in Seoul in 2050, tells the story of Jay, an artist, and Na-young, an astronaut, who navigate a long-distance relationship between earth and Mars.Kim Tae-ri and Hong Kyung star in this animated sci-fi romance, Netflix’s first Korean animated film, scheduled for release May 30.
KPop demon Hunters blends K-pop with action, fantasy, music, and comedy. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the film features Arden Cho, Daniel Dae Kim, Ahn Hyo-seop, and Lee byung-hun. TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung contribute an original track. The film, set to release June 20, follows the K-pop group Huntrix as they secretly battle demons disguised as a rival boy band.
thrillers and apocalyptic Scenarios
Kang Ha-neul stars in Wall to Wall as Woo-Sung, a man driven to paranoia by strange noises in his new apartment. Directed by Kim Tae-joon, the thriller explores themes of financial struggle and rising tensions. The release is slated between july and September 2025.

Mantis, directed by Lee Tae-Sung, features Yim Si-wan as a top assassin seeking independence, but faces betrayal and deadly clashes with his former associates, played by Park Gyu-Young and Jo Woo-Jin. The release is slated between July and September 2025.

Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Min-ho team up in The Prophet: Omniscient Reader, an action fantasy directed by Kim Byung-woo, based on Sing Shong’s webtoon. Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kim Dok-ja, a web novel fan, who partners with Lee Min-ho’s Yoo Joong-hyuk to prevent an apocalypse. The film is scheduled for release in July 2025.
In The Great Flood, directed by Kim Byung-woo, a catastrophic flood threatens humanity.Park Hae-soo plays a security officer resolute to rescue Kim Da-mi, an AI researcher, amidst the chaos. The sci-fi disaster film is scheduled for release between October and December 2025.
