BYU Cougars Lead West in College Football Special Teams Rankings

As the 2025 college football season approaches, special teams units are under scrutiny. BYU, Oregon and San Diego State emerge as frontrunners in the West, according to SuperWest Sports.
BYU boasts a trio of top-ranked specialists. Kicker Will Ferrin, return man Parker Kingston and punter Sam Vander haar combine to give the Cougars an edge. Garrison Grimes, an All-Big XII long snapper from Baylor, further bolsters the unit.
