Scheffler, McIlroy headline 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont

Oakmont Contry Club is set to host the 2025 U.S. Open,the third major championship of the golf season. The U.S. Open boasts a field of 156 of the world’s best golfers. Play begins Thursday at the course, hosting its 10th U.S. Open, more than any othre site.
scottie scheffler, currently the top-ranked player, is the favorite at 11-4, according to BetMGM. Scheffler seeks his third major title, already holding two green jackets and a Wanamaker Trophy. He hopes to continue his dominant season with a U.S.Open victory.
Rory McIlroy, who completed his career grand slam in April, has cooled off since then. Bryson DeChambeau,at 8-1 odds,is arguably the hottest golfer entering the tournament. He has five top-six finishes in his last six major starts. DeChambeau also finished tied for 15th at Oakmont in 2016, his first major start as a professional.
