The WNBA is gearing up for its 2025 All-Star Game, scheduled for July 18-19 in Indianapolis. This marks the first time the Indiana Fever will host the league’s mid-season classic. A highlight of this year’s event is the return to the captains’ format for team selection.
The two All-Star starters with the most fan votes will serve as captains. They will then draft their teams from the remaining pool of starters and reserves. ESPN will broadcast the All-Star draft on July 8.
Fan voting for the WNBA All-Stars opens June 12 and runs through June 28. Fans can submit one full ballot per day. Special two-for-one voting days are scheduled for June 14, June 20, and June 27, doubling the impact of each vote.The ballot allows fans to select four guards and six frontcourt players, irrespective of conference affiliation, to determine the All-Star Game starters.
Media and players also participate in the voting process, each submitting one ballot. Fan votes account for 50% of the total vote,while players and media each contribute 25%.
