The Jason Richards Trophy, awarded to the driver who accumulates the most points across the two ITM New Zealand Double Header rounds, is now being contested for the first time in 2026, with Wood’s strong performance in Taupō giving him an early edge in the inaugural battle for the silverware.

All 24 Supercars are set to make their debut on the Ruapuna circuit this weekend, marking a historic moment for the championship as it visits Christchurch for the first time under the new Super 440 format, which features four races across three days at Euromarque Motorsport Park.
