Held at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica and hosted by comedian and television personality Fritz Coleman, the 13th annual ceremony brought together global career location professionals. The guild’s awards recognize excellence in utilizing filming locations across motion pictures, television, commercials, and film commissions.
Top Film Honors Go to Paul Thomas Anderson and Josh Safdie Projects
In the feature film categories, Warner Bros. Pictures’ “One Battle After Another” won the award for outstanding locations in a contemporary feature film.
A24’s “Marty Supreme,” directed by Josh Safdie, secured the prize for outstanding locations in a period feature film. Matthew Kania and Ross Brodar managed the production work across New York City, greater New York, the Hudson Valley, New Jersey, and Tokyo.
Television Winners span Apple TV+, Amazon, and Netflix
Television prizes went to Apple TV+’s “Pluribus,” Amazon Prime Video’s “Fallout,” and Netflix’s “Black Rabbit,” according to the guild announcements. “Pluribus” won for contemporary television series following shoots in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Montana, Nevada, and Spain under the guidance of Christian Diaz de Bedoya, John O’Connor, Priscila Calero, Jorge Noguerales, Yanira De Armas, and Will Brewster.
Season 2 of “Fallout” took the period television series category for work in California’s Dumont Dunes, Mojave Desert, Antelope Valley, and Santa Clarita, managed by Mandi Dillin and David Park. Meanwhile, “Black Rabbit” won the award for a TV anthology, movie, or limited series following production around Brooklyn and Manhattan led by Paul Eskenazi and Joel McGlumphy.

Special Industry Achievement Awards
Vince Gilligan received the Eva Monley Award in recognition of his dedication to storytelling through location over a career spanning “Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul,” and his recent work on “Pluribus.” Veteran location manager and production supervisor Mike Fantasia, whose credits include “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Additional organizational honors included the Trailblazer Award presented to the Association of Film Commissioners International. The Humanitarian Award went to the Environmental Media Association, while the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission earned the title of outstanding film commission or office for its support of “One Battle After Another.” Toyota Trucks’ “They Don’t Read Reviews” captured the commercial location award under the guidance of Alexandra Gibson and Christina Conway.

Celebrating our LMGI winners was a truly remarkable experience. The ceremony was a powerful celebration of achievement, filled with inspiring moments and well-deserved recognition, beautifully capped by the genius of Vince Gilligan. Each of this year’s winners is incredibly deserving, and it was a distinct privilege to honor their talent, dedication, and outstanding contributions to our industry.
