However, teh class of 2028 aims to change that narrative, with Brycen Marbrey emerging as a notable name in the Sunshine State. The young quarterback,formerly of Lake mary High School,is now at Lake Howell High school in Winter Park,Florida.
Marbrey’s talent has caught the attention of college programs. Appalachian State and Toledo extended offers after observing his throwing skills. This week,syracuse followed suit after Marbrey’s impressive camp showing,marking his first power Four offer. The Syracuse coaching staff, including head coach Fran Brown, made a strong impression.
“I went to camp…had some good throws and at the end of camp Coach Nunzio (Campanile) and Coach Cap (Tommy Caporale) talked to me and made me an offer,” Marbrey told Rivals. “I was super excited. It is very exciting. I am very blessed to receive an offer to a school like Syracuse and it feels good knowing a school of that caliber has that kind of belief in you.”
Marbrey expressed enthusiasm about the Syracuse offer, highlighting the significance of receiving interest from a Power Four programme. He also praised Coach Brown’s leadership and organization.
“I saw him, awesome head coach,” he said. “very organized and a great vocal leader.”
A return visit to Syracuse is under consideration. Marbrey was impressed with the campus atmosphere and facilities. He also appreciated the coaching staff’s hospitality and coaching style, noting the positive interaction between Coach Caporale and his mother.
“Definitely,” he said. “I received great hospitality and great coaching while I was ther. Even Coach Cap spending time with my mom after camp meant a lot. I love coach Nunzio’s coaching style as well. And it’s a great school. A favorite so far.”
Syracuse is expected to remain a strong contender in Marbrey’s recruitment. Before returning to Florida, Marbrey plans to participate in camps at Rutgers and Purdue.
