Yashasvi Jaiswal Stuns at 22: A Massive Record in the Realm of Cricket Legends

The highly anticipated India-Bangladesh Two-Test series has commenced, with the first match underway. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hussain Shanto opted to bowl after winning the toss at Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. India’s batting lineup faced an early collapse, losing captain Rohit Sharma when the team score was 14.

India’s struggles continued as Shubman Gill fell when the team was at 28 runs. Gill was dismissed by Hasan without scoring any runs in eight balls. The woes deepened with the loss of Virat Kohli when the score was 34. After scoring six runs in six balls, Virat was caught by Liton Das off Hasan.

However, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant performance lifted the team’s score. Rishabh Pant joined forces with Jaiswal, propelling the Indian batting forward. Jaiswal returned with 56 runs off 118 balls, including nine fours, achieving a remarkable record in the process.

Jaiswal’s Record-Breaking Feat

At the age of 22, Yashasvi Jaiswal became the fourth player to score 50+ runs for India in Tests, joining an elite list of legendary players.

R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are currently leading India, with Jadeja scoring 49 runs and Ashwin scoring 73 runs. India has scored 275 runs for the loss of six wickets.
