U.S. Marines Conduct Small Boat Operations in Caribbean Sea
U.S. Marines with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/6, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), conducted 11-Meter Naval Special Warfare boat operations while underway in the Caribbean Sea on January 28, 2026.
The operations are taking place in support of the U.S. Southern Command mission, Department of War-directed operations, and the president’s priorities, according to a statement released by the U.S. Marine Corps.
A key objective of these deployments is to disrupt illicit drug trafficking and protect the homeland. The Marines are utilizing 11-Meter Naval Special Warfare boats for these operations.
