Magnitude 3.5 Earthquake Shakes Lima, Peru
An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 shook the region of Lima this morning, reported the Geophysical institute of Peru (IGP) on their website.
The epicenter of the earthquake – felt at 1:17 am - was located 25 kilometers southwest of Mala, in the province of Cañete; at a depth of 54 kilometers.
The shaking was felt with an intensity of grade II-III on the Mercalli scale in the town of Mala.
This is the second earthquake felt in Lima in less than 24 hours,after a magnitude 4.8 earthquake that shook the region last night.
